Free Form Requisites
Students who plan to enter graduate study in sociology or a related field should consult with the faculty for recommended courses in addition to the core courses.
A Midland University Sociology Major:
1: Applies key concepts, principles, and theories using appropriate terminology. |
2: Conducts social science research by applying the scientific method through integrating existing empirical literature, devising a research plan, and interpreting results. |
3 Applies the sociological imagination to understand the relationship between individuals and society. |
4: Demonstrates effective writing, presentation, and communication skills. |
5: Demonstrates competency as a candidate for entry-level work in the field and/or admission to graduate school |
