A Midland University Religion and Philosophy Major will:

1: Evaluate the assumptions underlying particular arguments or positions.

2: Analyze the historical and literary context of Christian scripture.

3: Employ a typology to describe diversity, trace change, and compare relationships among traditions.

4: Analyze the relationship between doctrines, practices, and figures and broader historical, political, and social settings.

5: Demonstrate intellectual curiosity by designing and developing projects.

6: Apply appropriate methods to the study of religious phenomena.
