A Midland Criminal Justice Major:
1: Applies key concepts, principles, and theories using appropriate terminology. |
2: Conducts social science research by applying the scientific method through integrating existing empirical literature, devising a research plan, and interpreting results. |
3: Applies relevant ethical principles and code of conduct to the criminal justice field. |
4: Demonstrates effective writing, presentation, and communication skills. |
5: Demonstrates competency as a candidate for entry-level work in the field and/or admission to graduate school |
Students may choose to double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology as well as Criminal Justice and Human Services. Students who plan to enter graduate programs should consult with the Criminal Justice faculty for recommended courses.
