Description

This course is a general introduction to the field of P-12 teacher education. At the completion of this course, Pre-Candidates will be able to discuss the historical and philosophical development of American education, identify a variety of challenges and rewards related to teaching careers, recognize contemporary educational issues, and demonstrate use of entry-level educational technology skills. Policies and procedures of Midlands Teacher Education program contained in the Midland Teacher Education Handbook are reviewed during this course. This course includes a minimum 10 hours of field-based experience.
